Biography

Ruth is a self taught artist, with no formal training.

She is inspired by wildlife and landscapes, the 'colours' of weather and her back garden! She lives in Derbyshire with the Peak District on the doorstep and has visited Canada several times which has provided additional inspiration

Her partner's love of big cat paintings has encouraged her to explore wildlife found outside the UK.

Although she has painted all her life it is only since 2004 that she has been able to spend time on what was previously an enjoyable hobby.
